Something that I wound up doing was taking elements from multiple cuts of the film and making my own super-edit of Episode 4. On the other hand, it's not just fixing some color issues, it's changing the film at a fundamental level. I'm quite impressed with the technical achievements put into this, especially since this is apparently done by one man, and his efforts are more impressive than what was actually done with the Special Editions, the DVDs, and the Blu-Ray. The music is wrong, the scene plays out differently. It disrupts the pacing I am familiar with. Corrected color issues, effect issues, things of that nature.' But then I see a scene that is totally altered, added, or subtracted and I think 'No, that is totally unnecessary. Some of the changes seem to make so much sense and make me think 'Yes, that is what the Special Editions should have done. The destruction of Alderaan is shown in far more detail, which somehow disturbs the pacing of the film (though the scene itself is quite impressive, until we see a brief glimpse of Jar Jar.) The Death Star is showed to be in orbit above a planet we know nothing about. The subtle blinking of Yoda's eyes in Empire Strikes Back is fantastic, and I personally love the semi-restoration of the original dialogue in the Emperor/Vader scene.Р вЂќР’В«ut some of the other changes I just find pointless. One on hand, the color correction and a few effects changes were great. Looking for a clip on Youtube the other day, I stumbled upon a clip from Adywans 'Star Wars Revisited.'
